St.Monday's Newsblog
We've had a good start this year, with a variety of occasions: a couple of parties, including the beautiful garden party in Danbury, the English Wine Festival at Purleigh, a PTA barn dance, our own dance at Galleywood and a wedding at the Reid Rooms. All very good occasions, with a lot of happy customers.
Recently we played for the Chelmsford Morris Ladies' 30th anniversary party - a fantastic evening with lots of food, song spots, morris dancing and other performances, and even a bit of St.Monday playing for dances. We had a great time, and there were lost of compliments afterwards.
We've also just produced a sampler CD for anyone who'd like to hear our music before booking us. If you'd like a copy, just contact us through the button on the left.
St. Monday's sample recording is now on the homepage. We'll have a couple more before long.
We are still intending to have our own caller, and we hope to pull Bob Sawyer out of retirement. Meanwhile John Parsons and Bob Ridout have done a number of gigs with us, and most recently Sarah Graves of the Metric Foot Band. We also have a booking coming up with Elaine Barker (of Itchy Feet and other bands).
